Unique Logo Animations for a Handcrafted Effect

The Shy Fox aka Millie Barac is a graphic designer and textile artist focusing on sustainability, upcycling and slow fashion. Her work draws inspiration from Australian flora, which you can see in many of her branding and textile projects.

I was inspired to animate The Shy Fox logo by bringing to life the aspects of the logo, from the leaves growing and swaying, to the fox's tail swishing and settling into place. I leant into the handmade nature of the logo (and Millie’s work), using techniques to replicate a hand-drawn effect on the linework and textures, and hand-drawing the fox’s tail frame-by-frame.

The addition of the animation in the logo makes space to include even more personality, and share that to people who aren’t yet familiar with your work. Millie has since moved on to run Wild Sunshine Studio with her husband, but I still display the project here as an example of how animation can be respectful to existing brands.
