Museum After Dark was an event run by the Wagga Wagga City Council to provide a bespoke space for young people to socialise and spend some quality time during the school holidays. The night was planned to be a fun and engaging experience offering games, snacks, a movie and music while making good use of the museum facilities to provide an exciting theme.
I was briefed to create a short animation based on their supplied designs, which was eye-catching and on theme, to be posted on social media to advertise the event. Taking my inspiration from the retro themes, I used the glitchy VHS style film visuals and 90’s video game-style music to catch the interest of young people scrolling through social media feeds.
In all, it was an enjoyable project that helped the council advertise a great initiative on their social media, which, by all accounts, was very thoroughly enjoyed.
