Animating for Impact in a Creative Space

Season 24 is the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre’s promotional campaign to advertise their 2024 program, ‘heartbeat of the city’. They worked with local designers Minta Viski to create a new brand identity, drawing inspiration from the region’s natural landscape and dynamic arts community. The result is a bold, impactful theme that speaks to both traditional theatre values and contemporary design - perfect to draw attention to their upcoming season of events.

My involvement in this project came in animating the banner graphic for use on social media and their website to advertise the campaign, and for display in-venue to help the theatre to showcase the new branding. In my animation work, I utilised the bold, hand-drawn style with lines moving and erasing through the frame, and reinforced the heartbeat theme with the pulsing text in the centre.
